Life is very Nice

Well I haven't posted in about 2 weeks. These past 2 weeks have ben little poker and lots of fun. First, I'm gonna discuss poker. Over these 2 weeks I have played about 16 hours of poker over the past 2 weeks with 6 hours coming yesterday. Despite my lack of play, I have been able to make about 7k which is pretty good. I must say that I have played 2 night anialated out of my mind and made about 4k. I dont even remember playing. I am at my all time peak right now which is a great feeling. I have added limit holdem to my variety of games and have had very good results at 20 40. Here are some of the hands that I have played over the past couple weeks.

Besides poker the past 2 weeks have been amazing. $ friends and I went to VT last weekend which was awesome. It was maybe the most fun I had on a weekend in aw hile. We went to the Miami VT game on Saturday while there. The whole weekend was just a big party and it was great. Then this week was Thanksgiving break which was great. The whole time I just hung out with my friends down at my house or we went out and had a good time.

Well my good friend Jared and I gambled each night over break. We play 3 games. We play heads up poker with a $1500 buy in and blinds at 5 10. We also play a game called spradley. In this gm 5s and 10s are wild and you play the board for the pot in the middle. Finally, we play Acey Ducey. Going into break he owed me 2300 bucks. Our games over this break were nuts. Twice he had to pay the pot in Acey Ducey over 1300 bucks when he was dealt A 2 and the next card paired the 2 both times making him pay double the pot.

He got pissed so we started playing hu poker where he owned my ass. In total he beat me out of 4500 hu. It should have been 7500 when I made the worst play in the hist of poker and sucked out for a 3k pot. When it was all said and done he owed me a measley 150 bucks. Our games were a lot of fun though and I look fwd to playing him again in a couple weeks.

Another thing I did over break was start investing. I put 30k into a portfolio. I plan on adding another 20 at the start of the year and another 20 every 6 months. I am glad that I started this at such a young age.

Poker Very Nice

Today in between doing my marketing project and going to my finance review session I took a look at my pokertracker stats over the past few weeks. I got pokertracker on October 17th. Since that date here are my statistics. If anybody can show me how to upload it on here please let me know. I have played 13822 hands. I have profited 21,618.59. I have played 52 hours which is about 416 bucks an hour. Pokertracker has missed a few hands during this time. 417 bucks an hour is not too shabby for a 25 day span. 2 hours of play per day is pathetic though.

So poker has gone well this month despite the lack of play. Man, I gotta study all night tonight and then again tommorrow.

Welcome back Pete

Well...I am back..kinda. This week I played about 9 hours of poker. That is not a lot by any stretch of the imagination but its more than the 54 minutes the previous 11 days. I made about 800 bucks which isnt bad. I did not play well at all. I actually think I played terrible. However, if you play terrible and win thats always a good sign.

This Tuesday I have my big finance test. I cant bring myself to study though. When I am done wrting this blog, I am going to try to study and understand 2 chapters. The test is on 5 chapters. I just want to pull off the average and get a B. After Tuesday, I am pretty much home free until finals week. I have a few small assignments but thats about it.

I cannot wait for Thanksgiving break!!! I just want to hang out with my friends and chill for a week. The past few weeks have been pretty sweet I must say. I have done a few first time things which was a lot of fun. Thursday I got pretty messed up and I dont remember too much about the night cept that it was awesome. Next Friday I am going to Virginia Tech to watch Miami play VT and to have some fun.

I know another boring blog post but there just is not much eventful going on right now. I am just glad that I am getting back into the right frame of mind to play some poker. Hopefully, next week I can get at least 15 + hours in.

Uneventful week to say the least and Review of October

Well this week has been very uneventful. I have played 100 hand of poker in the last 11 days. I have played less than 1 hour. This is just crazy now. I have no desire to play, though!!! Absolutely none. I dont see that changing anytime in the next week.

Tommorrow I have an exam that Im gonna study most of the night for. I should be ready for it and hope to do ok. I have a bunch of little assignments due this week that will tak up some time. I have to write a bad news letter for Bus comm. I have to examine a case for HRM and work on a marketing project. Finally I have a quiz in finance. Pretty much, I have something due in all 5 classes. However, after next Tuesday, I am pretty much home free until finals week.

Well this weekend was ok. I was going to go to Canada for the WPT event but that kinda fell through. Friday night I went to a party which was a good time. I got pretty drunk. Last week I did keep myself busy. I went out to dinner on Tuesday and went to a movie on Thursday. Hopefully, I will get some hands in this week.

Whoa I am editing this post because I almost forgot about my review of October. It was a productive month for not playing the last 8 days of it! I logged about 85 hours of play where I won about $30,000. I think this is about 350 bucks an hour which is a very nice rate. Next month I will have the poker tracker stuff to post. According to my pokertracker, I made $20,000. This was only over a 7 day stretch though.
